In particular, the 4th Railway Package introduced by the European Union in 2016 creates very specific framework conditions to make rail transportation even safer, more attractive, more efficient, more cost-effective, and therefore more future-proof and competitive. After completing an apprenticeship as an electrician, studying environmental systems science at the University of Graz and working as a project employee and assistant at the Institute for Machine Elements at Graz University of Technology in the field of measurement technology for rail vehicles, he gained experience as head of quality management at a product certification and inspection body before joining the PJM Group in 2007.
